5 advice That Make You Suck as a Human Being

Society is sinking into a void of sucky behavior. So you’re driving around town, doing errands, singing to your favorite song and that’s when you see him. You know who I’m referring. You see the war veteran in a wheel chair on the corner of the road holding up a sign that says “Please Help”, as he sits cold, dirty, and hungry. You stop singing, you stop looking in his general direction, and pretend that you didn't see him sitting there, as he stares at you while you drive on by. All that cheer and you let it stay inside your car instead of sharing it with those on the outside. You’re in the grocery store shopping for food for the week, looking at sprinkles deciding whether to put some on the special cake you’re going to make for no special reason just for your family. Then you see them. The parent yelling and hitting their child in public. You look shocked, but decide it’s none of your business. You turn away and try not to hear the sad sounds of despair. You don’t even ask yourself the question if he will survive the night, you just keep shopping. Your loyal dog of 5 years has just had puppies. You've cared for the dog and treated the dog as part of the family. Now you have several more mouths to feed. Instead you decide to dump them somewhere, without even calling anyone at all for help, and they end up starving and dying because it was apparently inconvenient to disrupt your “perfect” lifestyle. Well there’s five words that describe these acts of disgusting behavior toward saving humanity and they are pessimistic, selfish, indifferent, hateful, and violent. You, my non-friend, are a sucky human being. Pessimism is described as having a lack of hope for the future, or expecting bad things to happen. You see the world as half empty and always have something negative to say. You are the “negative Nancy” or the “Debbie downer” of the world. The dark veil of reality forever shrouds your already myopic point of view on life and you like to add to it by distressing others with your toxic words. Stop it. In order for the light to shine through, you need to stop blocking the warmth of the sun out. You need to allow for hope and love to enter your mind, instead of depressing thoughts. How do I stop being such a pessimistic person? One way is to write down your negative thoughts, instead of saying them out loud, then light the sucker on fire (carefully). Bad thoughts gone and new thoughts will emerge. Every time you feel the urge to say something negative, stop, breathe, and then let something nice come out. Do this every day until you tongue stops stinging people in the heart Selfish To be selfish is to be concerned with oneself and not showing concern for the needs of other people. You keep things to yourself that would benefit others like extra clothing, food, and money. You talk about yourself all the time, and you step on the little guy to get what you want. It’s all about you and you don’t care about anyone or anything else. Stop it. In order for you to show that you care, you need to…wait for it…SHOW THAT YOU CARE! Give of yourself and of your material possessions to those who really need it. Donate half your closet, volunteer at a charitable event or shelter, and dish out some extra dough to that sad vet on the corner. How do I know if people will use my extra wares wisely? The truth is you don’t. The point is to reconnect with the human race and show others that kindness is still the order of the day. The ripple effect of your enduring actions will change someone for the better, even if you can’t see it for yourself. Source: Mari Indifferent To be indifferent is to be impartial or not care one way or the other. You are the person that similarly rides the fence all the way through life, never getting off to substantiate a value of either good or bad. People who are indifferent drive past homeless people or walk by children suffering not letting affect their day in the slightest. Stop it. The act of inaction is as harmful as the action itself. To stand by and do nothing is a characteristic of what some psychologists believe to be sociopathic. Is that what you want to be labeled as? A psycho? A potential murderer? Of course, there are some moments where people just freeze out of shock. This is, unfortunately, uncontrollable. However, many people just don’t care and actually choose not to do anything at all. How do I show people I really care? Step in and do something. Stop and insert yourself into the situation and physically do something positive. Do not keep walking on by. You need to actually just STOP what you’re doing and go and help someone. At times, we must all pick a side, and those who are indifferent should pick the side to help instead of ignore. Hateful Hate is another word for maliciousness, violence, acerbity, toxicity, and hurt. You have an emotional directive to cause harm to others. The fire inside you ignites when you see certain images or hear certain combinations of words. You get angry and upset, letting others know your deepest disgust toward something. Stop it. You hate people who don’t signal left or right at a stop sign? Get over it. I hate people who drive drunk. You hate people who are not heterosexual? Get over it. I hate people who are pedophiles. You hate people who believe in God? Get over it. I hate people who believe in Satan. You hate people who call you in the middle of the night wanting to sell you magazines? Get over it. I hate people who call me in the middle of the night who just want to “chat”. How do I stop being so hateful toward others? One of the best pieces of advice I ever got about this type of thing is to go and introduce yourself to one of those people. Most of society’s hates come from misinformation, one-time bad experiences, or accidents. It’s sort of like dining at a restaurant. You order what you think is a delicious meal based on the picture, but then soon realize it’s not as appealing as you once thought it was when it comes to your table. You don’t even try to bite into it. It smells funny. It’s not fitting into your comfort zone. You never order that meal again, and coincidentally never go back into the restaurant again. It’s a hard thing to forgive others or get to know each other, especially when we see something we think is bad on the outside. However, we should all do our best to try as much as we can. If we continue to let hate fill our thoughts and actions, how are we ever going to reach an overflow of love and happiness? How is your hate going to dissipate if you can’t alleviate? Source: Mari Violent To be violent means to cause damage or harm by means of physical force. Chaos, wars, tragedy and death are results of violent behavior. Many motivational factors that can cause violent behavior are based on childhood experiences or extreme duress. This does not excuse an abusive spouse or parent from hitting their significant other or child because he or she is stressed out from a bad day at work. This is choosing to act in such a way that you are okay with the harm or damage you have caused to another. Stop it. If you like violent behavior, there’s something wrong with you and you should be hospitalized or imprisoned. Counseling is a form of help that violent people can get before it’s too late, but most often it is hard and difficult to manage when one is engulfed in a sea of despair such as this. How do I battle against the violence in the world? I can’t tell you exactly how, only that we should not allow it to happen to others and especially the ones we love. Everyone should voice their concerns and put into action ways to stop violent behavior and rehabilitate those who are committing the acts. It won’t happen overnight, it won’t happen in weeks or months. It will take years to stop the violence in the world and more people need to get involved. Yes it’s scary, but so is getting the crap kicked out of you because you simply look different. "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning." - Albert Einstein - "We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope." - Martin Luther King, Jr. - "I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe." - Dalai Lama - "Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for." - Joseph Addison - Endure to the End There truly is so much violence, hate, despair, and sorrow in this world and not enough love, compassion, patience, or understanding. Yes, it’s depressing and saddening to think about let alone do something about, but it needs to get done. Otherwise, what will YOU have left to be happy about if it is taken away by those who choose to exert their power over your indifference? It is an individual decision we must all make, one step at a time, one human being at a time. We are a sea of people crying out for a caring hand. Be that hand of hope and lift each other up! dragonflycolor
