A Breakdown of Kimye's InsaneWedding Costs

Ok, everyone knew it was going to be expensive. Designer dresses, fancy dinners, and private planes aren’t cheap, but who had any idea that Kimye’s wedding would cost millions, millions of dollars? I can’t even afford to buy toothpaste sometimes (dark days for everyone) and Kim and Kanye are dropping beaucoup —that’s french for way too much — bucks on the biggest event of the century (according to Kanye and no one else). People broke down the couple’s costs and let’s just say that it’s enough to buy a small country. Here are just some things that cost more than your first car (and probably the one you’re driving right now as well, let’s be real): Hotel: Luxury accommodations that ran $750-850 a night for upward of 200 guests. That’s $500,000 right there. Celebrities Doing Things! Bachelorette party at one of Paris’ top restaurants: $4,100 Getting Lana Del Rey to sing at the rehearsal: Hella money. You know she doesn’t stand and sway for free. Transportation: 70,000 Hair and makeup for 200 guests: $65,000 Venue: A steal at 409,000. (That’s for a rental, everyone. They weren’t buying!) Rare flowers: 136,000 Food: Let’s just say the chefs came from a restaurant where a bowl of spaghetti can cost you $100. What are you doing to that poor pasta to make it so expensive? Couture: $500,000 Getting married in front of 200 of your closest friends and family members: Priceless (minus about $200,000 because Beyonce couldn’t make it). Total: An estimated $1,684,100...Hold on, I need to go lie down. Could someone get me a damn croissant?

Kimye's Guide to Paris: All the Fun, Food and Fabulous Shopping!

After getting engaged to Kanye West last October, Kim Kardashian has become quite a fixture in Paris while planning her upcoming nuptials. Set to wed May 24, the bride-to-be has made lots of trips to the City of Light with her fiancé. When they're in town, the lovebirds make sure to hit up all their favorite haunts, including famous design houses and French-food hot spots near Place de la Concorde. First stop at the pair's home away from home? Five-star accommodations. West has been a longtime client at Paris's most exclusive residence hotel, which boasts an A-list guest membership that has included Leonardo DiCaprio and Beyoncé The pricy pad requires pre-acceptance just to access the hotel website, and rates run from 1,500 to 15,000 euros per night for the sky-view penthouse with a terrace. When it comes to fashion, Kardashian and West enjoy close relationships with famous designers, such as Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, Stephane Rolland, Karl Lagerfeld and Balmain's Olivier Bousteing. "They've visited many times," one design-house source tells PEOPLE. "Kanye will sit and talk about the art and styling for hours. He's knowledgeable, and Kim has been quietly visiting here for years, spending time in the atelier where the dresses are made. She's really interested in the process and is fascinated by the hand work and the details." Though the French are famous for their food, Kardashian and West have narrowed down their favorites. They consistently choose the same two restaurants, grabbing lunch at popular bistro L'Avenue followed by fancy cheeseburgers at Ferdi's. And who can visit Paris without indulging in a little – or a lot – of shopping? Kardashian stocked up on goodies for baby North, 11 months, last year. The two also make sure to pop into their main shopping spot, Balmain, where sources say they rang up more than $25,000 in pre-wedding accessories and gift purchases back in April. Whether they're nailing down final wedding details or getting fitted for custom clothes, the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. West seem to love everything about the City of Light. people
