Let's start out with the amazing part of this story, all right? Dolly Parton, who is possibly the greatest performer alive today, has announced that she's working on a musical based on her life. Did you get that through all the incredible joy that just flooded your whole entire being? Dolly Parton is making a musical based on Dolly Parton. If that's not the best thing that ever happened to the world, well, then there must be some seriously good things in the world, because that sounds so wonderful, doesn't it? But here's the part of the story that isn't as great: Dolly also plans on making a movie version of this magical story, and you know who's up for the lead? We'll just let Dolly break this news herself: "When we started talking about a movie, people had mentioned Scarlett Johansson. I guess she's full bosomed." And that, everyone, is how dreams can be built and then destroyed within the blink of an eye. 15 Stars Who Are Surprisingly Not American Look, it's not that Scarlett Johansson isn't lovely, because of course she is. She's so beautiful, and she can sing, and she's blonde or whatever. And, as Dolly points out, she does have some curves. But, not to be mean or anything, but Scarlett would ruin this whole entire endeavor. She just would. Dolly is more spunky and lovable and vivacious than Scarlett could ever even dream of being. Not to even mention that Southern charm that is so much of what Dolly is about and that Scarlett doesn't have the slightest idea about. This would just be the worst thing, it truly would. The good news is that since the best thing that Dolly can say about Scarlett playing her in a movie is "I guess she's full bosomed," hopefully there won't be a chance that this horror moves forward. In this same interview, Dolly mentioned that she related to Miranda Lambert, and surely you don't need to be told how much better Miranda would be in this role.
